Anyone peering into Poás enormous
crater with its boiling, sulfurous lake, is reminded of the
great power of nature. The volcano’s active crater is
one of the largest in the world, and the sight of the smoking
fumaroles and greenishturquoise sulfurous lake at the bottom
is breathtaking. Poás Volcano National Park protects
a spectacular cloud forest that offers tempting trails that
